Reese Witherspoon got married last week, but instead of going on a Honeymoon she spent the week end promoting the beautiful “Water For Elephants”... Here she is with Tai (and I) the star elephant of the movie, an adaptation of the best seller from Sara Gruen of the same title.

When I asked Reese what surprised her about elephants that she didn’t know before she told me: “They are really very intelligent, social creatures. One of my favorite stories about elephants was one night we were working late, a night shoot, and Tai, the elephant in the movie, went back to the ranch where she was staying with four other elephants, all females: four girlfriends. The following day she was tired and I asked the trainer why she was tired and he said: When she arrived late, around 3 am, they all wanted to know what happened during the day. They communicate by roaring at each others and as good girlfriends they roared until 4:30 am. I found it incredibly funny and fascinating.”
