Stars I met ... last month (2009)
January 2, 2010
Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon for the movie Invictus. A close look to the genius and inspiration power of Nelson Mandela when he became President of South Africa.
Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin and the divine Meryl Streep for the film, It’s Complicated. Nothing complicated, but just a very good laugh... specially when Meryl and Steve get stoned!
Robert DeNiro tried to remake an Italian movie, Everybody’s Fine. But nobody was fine in this American adaptation... The original had Marcello Mastroianni in the part... and I miss Marcello!!!
(I am wearing the Livestrong T Shirt of Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation. As I am a happy cancer survivor. You can beat it!)
Blake Lively and Jake Gyllenhall should be in a movie together. They are young, beautiful, sexy and very talented. Give them a script somebody! For now you can see Jake in Brothers and Blake in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee
Viggo Mortensen is one of the most creative and outstanding actor in the world. His performance in The Road is mesmerizing. Shame that he wasn’t voted in for a Golden Globe!
Instead Hugh Grant (right) keep on going in awful comedies. Avoid ... The Morgans !
Nicolas Cage came to promote The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans a few days after his father passed away. Just to let you know how much he believed in his performance of a drug fueled cop. Eva Mendes plays his call girl lover. Werner Herzog directs....... I loved it!
Robin Wright Penn is the best American actress around and she can showcase her art in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. This was written and directed by Rebecca Miller, daughter of Arthur and wife of Daniel Day Lewis. It’s a grand tour de force for Sean Penn’s wife. She deserves a nod of approval. (Blake Lively plays her as a young woman...)
Oh Yeah, Sherlock Holmes might be the next Downey Jr franchise! The movie made 65 million the first week end.
“Elementary Dr Watson!”
